  The largest holiday inn I've ever stayed at. The rooms were clean, check in was easy. Nice location with easy access to downtown. A shuttle is offered for guests, I do not remember if it costs extra as we did not use it during our stay. You cannot walk to downtown asheville from this location. The continental breakfast was good. Scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, french toast, fresh fruit, grits, a good spread, plus it was free with the room. You also get your own carafe of hot coffee which is a huge plus.
